GLAMARAMA 2016
Glamarama 2016 was held at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana on June 8 – 12. We were very fortunate weather-wise as the predicted rain did not arrive. Instead, sunny skies prevailed and all programs went off without a hitch. At last count, we had 447 coaches this year!
Our group arrived on Monday in preparation for our planning for the seminar monitoring which started Wednesday. Our attendees were Al and Carol Kloha/Park, Dick and Kathy Montgomery, Kathy O’Bee, Rick and Eleanor Payne, Don and Jeanne Rypma, Randy and Karen Stano, Steve and Marcy Aller, Jack and Betty Bates, Ed and Anne Bearse, Tom and Marcia Bird, Rod and Maggie Chubb, Bob and Shirley Dingman, Don and Sharon Eversmann, Bob and Bev Garcia, Bonnie and Frank Hilberer, Fred Hollister, Mike and Marti Kelly, Bruce and Dorothy Wierman! Great group with lots of laughs and fun!
The three nights of entertainment were excellent with a full house to enjoy them. Mike Albert, the Elvis Impersonator, Cahal Dunne, Irelands Happy Man and the Atlantic City Boys all put on great programs to an appreciative audience.
We have two new couples that joined the Northern Lights: Bert and Judy Ruth from South Lyon, MI; George and Rosa Krec from Fenton, MI. Previous members that rejoined are Chuck and Jerri Rose from Swartz Creek, MI. We welcome them all and hope to get better acquainted at our next rally in Archbold, Ohio!
Many of you heard of Dick and Kathy’s plight with their motorhome on their way back from Arizona. The good news is that it should be repaired by now and Dick is heading to Albuquerque, NM to pick it up. We hope all goes well with them and that their engine transplant is successful! They stayed in a 20’ travel trailer at GLAMA and put in many, many hours in cramped conditions. Thank you both for all your hard work!
While there, Steve and Marcy Aller couldn’t resist any longer and purchased a new coach like one that was on display! We’ll all be ready for a tour at the next rally Steve!! Congratulations!
Card Bingo was hosted by the Singing Auctioneer and Maggie Chubb won’t say how much she won but I saw the Brinks truck stop by their coach afterwards!! Many of us had our coaches serviced, repaired or cleaned so we’re all spiffied up for the coming season.
There were many more activities but suffice it to say that everyone had a super time and we’re looking forward to our remaining rally’s at Sauder Village, Little River Casino and Petoskey KOA!
