St. Ignace Rally Review
Lots of Fun and Food
The start of our August Rally began in St. Ignace with a greeting and a hug from our new member, Q.T.Pie the Clown. The coaches settled just in time for "Happy Hour". A delicious potluck followed with excellent smoked meat that host couple Dick and Kathy Montgomery spent the day and previous night preparing. Members lingered for a bit of fun with Karaoke directed by the other host, Peggy Dennis. There was rousing "applause" from the spectators!!! (Really?)
Friday morning the shuttle arrived at the park for the drive to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. Everyone seemed to have a great time whether they walked around, rode bikes or took carriages rides. There were more cocktails and louder Karaoke on their return. The crowd roared for more. (Really?)
Saturday was a day to roam the area. There was also a Music Festival downtown that some members stopped to enjoy. Dinner at the Galley brought out the complete group to enjoy the prime rib, whitefish and perch. The evening came to a close with a gathering around the new park picnic tables for conversation, ladder ball and more Bop-it. I expect to find the game in several motor homes the next time we meet.
The rally comes to a close on Sunday for most us. The Montgomerys' with their excellent planning skills will lead four other units to Wisconsin for the FMCA International Convention. The other couples that will travel to Madison are the Birds', the Chubbs', the Paynes' and the Vanderburgs.

ON to MADISON
Here's is a fine photo of the group that traveled on to the International Convention. The comment from the rally masters when I met up with them this past Tuesday was that "a good time was had by all." I have posted additional photos that Kathy took of cocktail hour and the morning waffle party. Check those added photos on the Gallery Page.
